ESSO Tiger Walk

ESSO Tiger Walk for United Way raises approximately $23,000

Now an established event for ESSO employees, this year’s ESSO Tiger Walk for United Way was a success, with approximately $23,000 raised for our Community Fund, which helps United Way create opportunities for a better life for everyone in our city.

On Thursday, October 6, 2011, about 200 ESSO employees headed out to do the 8-kilometre walk that took them around a North York park. Prizes were awarded to participants after the event for best times and fundraising efforts.

Along with the ESSO Tiger Walk for United Way, the company’s campaign efforts also involved various other activities this year, such as a golf tournament, a bowling tournament, bake sales, and a Day of Caring, where employees got out and volunteered at one of United Way Toronto’s member agencies.
