Why will you climb?
There's a reason for every climber
The best and biggest reason to climb is to show you care for your city.
You're climbing to support United Way and its affiliated social service and health agencies deliver hope and help to thousands of people in our city. Climb for new Canadians, for neighbourhoods at risk, for troubled youth, for the old and for the young.
One step at a time, we can make this a better city for all. United, we can all climb higher!

Fundraising Tips
The money you raise enables a network of agencies providing vital social services to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the city—impoverished families, children and youth, the elderly, the physically challenged, women who have been abused, the homeless, and the many new immigrants who need help to realize their dreams of a better life in Canada.
Here are some tips that can help you reach out to your network of friends, family and coworkers
Hands-Free Climbing
Climbers are not permitted to carry these items up the tower: water bottles, camel packs, backpacks, phones, cameras, MP3 players, iPods, other portable music devices or their infants/children. Volunteers and/or CN Tower staff will not hold any personal items for climbers.
All these items should be left at home or at the coat check.
