Change begins with your leadership
When you give at the leadership level of $1,000 or more, you'll be recognized in our Honour Roll. More than that, you'll make an even bigger impact on the lives of many people across our city. Look at what your leadership gift can do:
- $1,200 per year provides breakfast every morning for the school year to 12 children who would otherwise go hungry, thereby increasing their learning potential at school.
- $2,000 provides a job placement and six months of employment support to a newcomer, enabling him to compete in today's labour market.
- $5,000 allows 25 marginalized youth to participate in a 10-week photography or art program, providing them with routine and structure, a healthy outlet for creative expression and encouragement to explore their potential.
- $11,900 provides 16 weeks of computer training for 17 women who have left abusive relationships, offering them the skills to become self-sufficient and build new lives.
- $24,960 provides home assistance to 32 seniors, so they can live independently in their own homes.

The Robert Harding Leadership Challenge Grant will provide up to $1 million in matching funds to United Way Toronto when you donate to the United Way family*. Your donation is enhanced by the matching funds made possible by Robert Harding’s generous leadership and commitment.

How it works and what it means
The Robert Harding Leadership Challenge Grant works in two ways:
New Leadership Donors
Each first time donation of $1,000 or more to the United Way family* will be matched dollar for dollar.
If you donate $1,000, United Way Toronto receives $2,000.
$2,000 provides four newcomer children with 24 2-hour sessions of school readiness training to help them integrate into their new school.
Renewing Leadership Donors
The Robert Harding Leadership Challenge Grant doubles the increase in your donation to the United Way family* when the increase is 10 per cent or more.
Increase your donation from $2,000 last year to $2,200 this year, and United Way Toronto receives $2,400!
$2,400 provides four individuals with low literacy skills 840 hours of intensive academic support over 10 months to help them find employment and improve their lives.
